25 Ways WWE Has Ruined Raw

15. Spoiling Surprises

There are few genuine surprises left in wrestling. Spoilers spread like wildfire in the social media era, which has all but killed the sport's sense of wonder. The idea that almost anything could happen used to be one of Raw's biggest selling points, but it's gone now, as keeping major developments under wraps has become borderline impossible.

Sadly, WWE are just as complicit in killing the suspense, particularly when it comes to big comebacks.

Surprise returns are largely a thing of the past. If a big name is on their way back, the company will now promote it to death ahead of the event in a blatant ratings grab. WWE's stagnant viewership means this is partly understandable, but such moments are infinitely less exciting when you know they're coming, and the art of a shocking comeback is now all but dead outside the Royal Rumble.
