25 Ways WWE Has Ruined Raw

12. Overusing Authority Figures

While the overuse of General Managers, Commissioners, and executives is a problem that plagues both of WWE's mainline brands, it has been particularly detrimental to Raw over the years, specifically during The Authority's reign of terror.

They were a cancer on the product. Those god-awful show-opening programs ate away at your enthusiasm as soon as Raw hit the air, and it felt like they'd never go away, particularly after the Survivor Series 2014 debacle.

It goes deeper than that, though. The entire Anonymous General Manager saga was a debacle. John Laurinaitis should've never been brought onto television. Bret Hart? Totally ineffective.

Austin vs. McMahon is the most important feud in WWE history, but its success has, unfortunately, doomed us to decades of half-baked Mr. McMahon clones taking heat from wrestlers. Kurt Angle is fine in 2018, but his affability doesn't make up for the vampires that came before.
