25 Ways WWE Has Ruined Raw

19. The Death Of Go-Home Shows

There was a time when go-home shows almost guaranteed excitement. In the pre-Network era, they were WWE's last chance to convince their audience to buy the weekend's pay-per-view. This meant cramming Raw with as much excitement as possible in order to hype the big show, and coerce fans into parting company with their well-earned $39.95, but now? They're just as disposable as any other show.

WWE don't need to sell pay-per-views anymore, so why would they even bother? They already have your $9.99 subscription fee, and know they can play it safe, which is usually exactly what they do.

This leads to lame scenes like Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns playing tug of war with the WWE Championship on the Raw before WrestleMania 31. Their bout turned out to be a banger, but such segments are more likely to dissuade someone from tuning in than convince them. It sucks, but WWE have no reason to care.
