By this point, fans saw it as a punishment whenever a wrestler would be relegated to working the 'WWE Superstars' taping before Monday Night Raw, but that didn't stop The Miz and Wade Barrett from having a good match together. The two former foes spent the better part of that year feuding over the Intercontinental Championship as they traded the title back-and-forth on various occasions. After both Miz and Barrett came up short in walking out of the Payback pay-per-view earlier that month as the champion, they shifted their focus back to each other.
