25 'WWE Superstars' Matches That Were Actually Awesome

24. The Miz vs. Wade Barrett (June 28, 2013)

By this point, fans saw it as a punishment whenever a wrestler would be relegated to working the 'WWE Superstars' taping before Monday Night Raw, but that didn't stop The Miz and Wade Barrett from having a good match together. The two former foes spent the better part of that year feuding over the Intercontinental Championship as they traded the title back-and-forth on various occasions. After both Miz and Barrett came up short in walking out of the Payback pay-per-view earlier that month as the champion, they shifted their focus back to each other. Although no gold was up for grabs, Miz and Barrett set out to steal the show that night on 'Superstars' and they did just that (granted, the program consists of only two matches, but you get the point). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3A93ROL0a0 What they've lacked in storyline support has always been made up for with their entertaining in-ring work and this match was proof of that. With the crowd solidly behind him, Miz locked in the Figure Four Leg Lock on Barrett to score the victory.
