20. 1998 - Undertaker Tries To Embalm Steve Austin (November 23rd)

Foreshadowing the ludicrous depths the company would plum with The Undertaker's latest reinvention as a heel, a distraction away from the WWE Title in late-1998 resulted in some of Stone Cold Steve Austin's stupidest ever work with the company.

'The Deadman' and Paul Bearer had attacked and kidnapped Austin, rendering him helpless to his hideous fate until Kane somehow appeared to make the save. 'The Big Red Machine' probably heard Undertaker's farcical ceremonial chants from a similarly secret hideaway.

The rattled 'Rattlesnake' stumbled to safety as the cameras mysteriously cut. He'd respond the following week by dumping Bearer down a sewer, exactly where the entire wretched angle belonged.
