25 Years Of WWE Raw Mistakes

17. 2001 - Trish Stratus Barks Like A Dog (March 5th)

Shane McMahon Vince McMahon
WWE Network

...and cries, and apologises, and gets on her knees, and strips, and...

There's a reason this was one of the segments pounced upon by pundits and political opponents when Linda McMahon failed in her pursuits for office in 2010 and 2012. Those regrettable moments are just the headlines.

Vince McMahon - buried up to his neck in his megalomaniacal persona - was long past the point of no return when he ordered a shivering tearful Stratus to take her clothes off midway through a detestable b*llocking. A tasteless, over-indulgent feast of fury, Vince presumably reasoned that he simply had to generate every last ounce of heat in order to validate his eventual comeuppance.

Thank god he got that at least. The segment would be hard to justify at all without it.
