Double pin fall controversy...

After SmackDown Live managed to pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat at Backlash on Sunday, it was Monday Night RAW's turn to roll the dice as the New Era rumbled on.

This week's show was set for a very climactic ending with Roman Reigns facing off against Kevin Owens. If The Big Dog could gain a win over the Universal Champion, he'd be added to the championship match with Owens and perennial challenger Seth Rollins. If he couldn't... well who knows what's in store for him. His former foe Rusev posted on Twitter a few days ago that he's enjoying a 23-day honeymoon with his new wife, Lana - he certainly fooled me as you'll see by the end of this article.

The main event for RAW came about after General Manager Mick Foley seemingly forgot about Reign's existence during the course of last week's show. Rollins had been screwed, Mick sorted him out. Roman was screwed moments before Seth was, Mick completely forgot about him till the closing segment of the show.

Can you believe we're just two weeks away from Clash Of Champions already? I know, things are happening far too thick and fast in this New Era to keep up... With the respective Universal and Women's Championship matches already booked for the show (even though we'd see during the course of this week's show it wasn't despite an advert that aired during Backlash) a lot of leg work for the PPV's card needed to take place.

Here are all of the WTF Moments from this week's RAW...

27. WWE Rewriting The History Books?

As you will have seen on last week's show, Bayley pushed Charlotte into Dana Brooke on the apron in the climax to Bayley and the Women's Champion's match. This allowed Charlotte to somehow blame Dana for the loss, even though the lady affectionately known is Miss Piggy to Sasha Banks simply stood still and couldn't really get out of the way.

However, in the opening moments of this week's show, Maggle Cole claimed that Dana inadvertently ran into Charlotte, costing The Nature Girl the match.

As my explanation and the picture of the scene above prove, this simply isn't true.

I know WWE are renowned for rewriting their own history books, but it was absolutely needless here. The spot worked fine the way it happened live, there's no need to tell us something completely different happened just to fit the narrative.
