3 Ups & 10 Downs From WWE Raw (Aug 3)

8. Loss Leaders

The Hurt Business
WWE

WWE's newfound obsession with immediately presenting brand new stables as losers who can't buy a big-match win is maddening, and it continued with The Hurt Business last night.

MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Bobby Lashley are great together, but they lose far too often. Last night saw MVP drop his United States Championship match with Apollo Crews despite having his boys at ringside. While this would be easier to swallow had it happened in a nutshell, these guys taking a major L seems to go down every other week, undermining their credibility.

The same thing happened with Zelina Vega, Andrade, Angel Garza, and Austin Theory. Sure, they were rubbing shoulders with the likes of Drew McIntyre, but that means little when you're getting the piss punched out of you all the time.

The Hurt Business' rub was, what, standing tall in a dopy, ill-conceived fight club knockoff segment that absolutely stunk? Cool.
