3 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Deadly Draw: Women's Tag Team Tournament (Aug 10)

1. Leva Bates & Rache Chanel vs. Big Swole & Lil Swole

No AEW enhancement talent as looked more dysfunctional than Rache Chanel since the global health crisis began and Leva Bates has proven herself a much stronger character than wrestler over the past year, making this a potentially disastrous pairing.

The match wasn't a disaster, but only in that it wasn't riddled with dangerous botches. Instead, this was a clunky, awkward, glacially-paced contest that never broke out of first gear, let alone second. It lacked dynamics and brought no excitement to the table as the wrestlers worked through their holds as if they were wrestling in treacle. Bates and Chanel's comedy didn't land, especially when Rache broke a submission by gently tapping Lil Swole's head with a comb, and her and Bates looked stodgy on defence, let alone offense.

Big Swole and Savoy tried, though there's little they could do with Bates and Chanel. They took the victory when 'The Librarian' was put away after a finishing flurry.
