3 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Deadly Draw: Women's Tag Team Tournament (Aug 10)

2. Deathly Draw

Leva Bates Rache Chanel

The filler chip-drawing segments will thankfully come to an end next week, now that each of the tournament pairings has been confirmed. This is a good thing: last night's were pure fluff.

Leva Bates and Rache Chanel posed around after saying absolutely nothing in a dozen or so words. Alundra Blayze's delivery was pancake-flat as she took Dasha by surprise, though the interview-turned-wrestler's enthusiasm was palpable and AEW at least acknowledged how Dasha and Rachael Ellering know each other. Elsewhere, the Big Swole/Lil Swole introduction was pure shtick that won't stick.

These segments don't need to be grand, expositionary masterpieces, but they brought nothing to the table on last night's show. Skip 'em.
