3 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Dec 25)

2. Jungle Boy Snares A Solid Win

There's some history between Jurassic Express, their pal Christian Cage and Matt Hardy's gang. That story going in is partly why this sits proudly in the 'Ups' section too, but it's not the only reason. Jungle Boy and Private Party's Isiah Kassidy had a solid little match that opened Rampage with a bang.

Both should be proud of that.

Kassidy showed AEW management something different here. He's not just a tag-team guy and that's that. The Private Party man bumped around nicely for Jungle, and some of his aerial stuff (whilst lacking from a psychology standpoint) is flashy and rivals other top flyers like Rey Fenix or Dante Martin.

Seeing JB win with his trusty Snare Trap was another big plus for the match. That finish needs to become something Boy can use to cut down much larger opponents. For now, it's great to see him ground a high-flyer by tapping him out.

Good, high-energy match.
