3 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Jan 26 - Results & Review)

Ups...

3. Decent Match (All Things Considered)

Anna Jay Ruby Soho
AEW

OK, so the storyline involving Ruby Soho and Angelo Parker is undeniably crap, but something good came out of it at least. More Anna Jay, basically. She continues to impress in-ring, and has come on leaps and bounds as a nuts n' bolts wrestler. Soho was the right kind of opponent for her too.

They worked a fun-enough match despite the naff narrative backdrop.

Long-term, it'd be great to see Anna split from the ex-JAS mob and start doing her own thing. She's got potential to blossom into a true homegrown success story for AEW, but still being linked to her old stablemates is holding her back. Just shut up and wrestle! Sorry. Couldn't resist.

Seriously though, Jay shows a nice level of intensity during her matches. She also had friends and family in attendance to watch this one, so was motivated to put on a good display. Good for her. Hopefully, Tony Khan was paying attention in the back.

Unless he was busy tweeting about Jinder Mahal, or something.
