4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 17 - Results & Review)

Thank God Roderick Strong is OK.

This isn't said lightly, but the wheelchair-bound gimmick Strong is currently working on AEW TV could've become grim reality very easily following a nasty-looking bump on this week's Rampage. Roddy was working Action Andretti when he appeared to land head first during a Spanish Fly spot, and pretty much everyone there live thought something had gone terribly wrong.

Thankfully, Strong recovered quickly and was able to finish the match as planned, but that was an ugly moment. Nobody needed real life to imitate art, put it that way. AEW also deserved better than that following an epic three-hour window of content, but the most important thing is that Roddy is alright.

So, onto the rest of Rampage. Was it any good, and did it follow on from Collision (which weirdly acted as lead-in for the 'C' show on the night) with gusto? Like Collision's success rate, the answer is yes and no. The ending was sh*t hot and brilliantly summed up why you should be buzzed for Full Gear, but Tony Khan could've done more with his "bonus hour" here.

MJF, Bullet Club Gold, Samoa Joe, Christian Cage and Toni Storm all delivered for their boss though. You're probably not shocked by that given their skills.
