3 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Apr 4)

Ups...

3. The Big Lads

Lars Sullivan Killian Dain

What's most disappointing about the interferences in Killian Dain vs. Lars Sullivan is that it looked like an awesome match on paper, and it was coming along nicely until The Velveteen Dream showed his face. Lars is progressing astonishingly fast, both inside the ring and out, and Dain has always been a three-dimensional monster. They looked set for an absolute banger, but it was cut off in less than six minutes.

Still, what we got was decent, with the two big lads big ladding their way around ringside. It started slow, but soon unravelled into the kind of bruising, brutish affair most would expect from such a pairing, and if they were given double their run-time, they'd have likely crafted a great television main event.

This would make a tremendous TakeOver bout someday. Unfortunately, there's a strong chance we won't get it, as Sanity are seemingly on their way to the main roster after WrestleMania 34, and Lars has an outside shot of partnering Braun Strowman at the big event. Whatever happens with them, let's hope they cross paths in a one-on-one situation again someday.
