3 Ups & 3 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Nov 8)

Downs...

3. Pointless Booking

Eli Drake's crusade to sue Impact Wrestling for their mistreatment of him took a pointless turn this week as he ambushed his attorney Joseph Park before a settlement could be made. The former World Champion has spent the past number of weeks vying to get some sort of compensation for his recent troublesome times in Impact.

There's just no genuine reason for Eli's betrayal of Joseph quite yet. If a settlement was agreed upon and Drake got what he was hoping for, then it would've made perfect sense. But that isn't the case, seeing as it's in the Downs section of this article. As a result of his actions here, it now lowers his chances of reaching an end goal with Impact that'll suit his aspirations. Management now have the best attorney money can buy on their side should Park wish to return to the angle.

Who knows though, maybe this part of the story arc was simply card fodder and means absolutely nothing in the long-term. Next time we see Drake, he'll probably be back bullying his way in to the commentary desk. Be A STAR and all that malarkey.
