3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Deadly Draw: Women's Tag Team Tournament (Aug 3)

3. Right Before Our Eyes

Allie Brandi Rhodes Dasha
AEW

The night's first Nightmare Sisters interview saw Brandi Rhodes ruminate on the possibility of her and Allie being drawn separately. She was frustrated that the Sisters may not be able to compete together after spearheading AEW's women's tag movement, but accepted the rules, drawing a red chip.

Brandi and Dasha conversed, distracting them. Allie used this moment to look into the bowl, find the red pick, grab it, and celebrate. The Sisters were together.

The act fits Allie's character, but this went down in front of a television camera. Why was Allie allowed to get away with this? It's a nitpick, yes, and it seems like a small thing, but wrestling is infuriating when it asks you to be willfully dumb, as it did here. Logic gaps stink.
