3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Deadly Draw: Women's Tag Team Tournament (Aug 3)

2. Branding Lesson

Alex Marvez Allie Brandi Rhodes
AEW

Brandi Rhodes and Allie's roles reversed in their final interview, with Brandi assuming the heel position to her partner's chagrin.

AEW's Chief Brand Officer essentially took credit for their win. She wouldn't let the former 'Bunny' get a word in at first, putting herself and her performance over, saying she was on her way to major success. Allie the interjected, drawing patronisation from Brandi. Rhodes promised to get Allie her own action figure, said she'd benefit greatly from rubbing shoulders with the Brand Officer, and off they went.

This is deeply confusing and not intriguing enough to compensate. It's a sudden change, too, with Brandi recently playing the unconvinced babyface before flipping the switch out of nowhere, undermining Allie's recent work as an untrustworthy manipulator whom only QT Marshall is willing to fully get behind.
