3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Deadly Draw: Women's Tag Team Tournament (Aug 3)

1. Anna Jay and Tay Conti vs. Nyla Rose and Ariane Andrew

The Deadly Draw's second match had its good moments, though not enough to bring it to the positive side of the ledger. This was a sloppier match than the opening and had more than a few instances where you could see the cogs turning, particularly when Nyla Rose, the bout's most complete worker, wasn't even in the ring.

Tay Conti looks an interesting prospect, Ariane Andrew showed personality, Anna Jay is a better wrestler than anyone with less than a dozen matches under their belt should be, and Nyla sold her targeted leg well. Still, this was very clunky at points.

That silver lining is that Ariane successfully shook off the ridicule that her debut was met with, looking considerably better than her four-year spell out of the business would suggest. Whether we'll see her back or not remains to be seen, though kayfabe Nyla wasn't best pleased with her losing effort, trucking her after the bell.
