3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Feb 23 - Results & Review)

1. Rampage Needs A Revamp!

Tony Khan must decide (and fast) what he wants from Rampage. Sometimes, the boss loads it up. Other times, he phones episodes in like AEW did here. Generally, the show is far too formulaic, and not in a positive, fan-pleasing and comfort blanket sort of way.

The picture-in-picture ad breaks happen at almost the exact same times during matches, and that makes it borderline impossible to maintain interest. In other words, you know nothing of note is going to happen before Excalibur pleads: "Don't go anywhere!". Maybe he's talking about the match layout?

No disrespect intended here either, but is a main event like Roddy Strong vs. Jake Hager really going to entice people to tune in for this stuff? Worse, AEW then crowed about a bunch of other so-so matches to come on Collision. It's like everything, including Dynamite, needs a right good revamp.

Rampage is especially ripe for a rethink. It has been for ages.
