3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage: Fight For The Fallen (Aug 18)

It's kinda depressing just how far one previously hot AEW act has fallen.

The Hardys are up next for a shot at the ROH Tag-Team Titles, because why not? Everyone and their granny is getting a crack at Aussie Open right now, and at least Matt and Jeff are higher-profile that this week's challengers. Remember when AEW carefully laid out title matches and sold their importance?

Not anymore, and Rampage proved it.

Something else was shown up on Friday. One of the biggest acts in the entire women's division just isn't all that over anymore. Seriously, Michael Cole gets louder crowd pops than the one heard for that post-main event run-in for the save. It was borderline-embarrassing, and does speak to how far she's fallen in the eyes of fans.

Thankfully, one of the hottest matches of the entire wrestling week stepped up to reward those tuning in. It didn't outright save the show (despite more 'Downs' than 'Ups' this wasn't a terrible episode), but it did provide at least two major positives Rampage could hang its hat on.

Here's all the good and bad from the penultimate edition before All Elite hits Wembley Stadium in front of a record-breaking crowd.
