3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage: Fight For The Fallen (Aug 18)

Downs...

4. Still Not Sold

Aussie Open AEW
AEW

Aussie Open deserve their spot on AEW TV, but something feels off about their inclusion at All In. They've been booked on the card for the sake of it, presumably because they cut their teeth on the UK indy scene. There's nothing convincing about this mini-feud with Adam Cole and MJF. Nothing.

On Rampage, Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis beat Ethan Page and Brother Zay in a routine tag. It was fine, but the latter two were realistically never beating the champs. The result was a formality, which made it hard to care about the match even though everyone clearly worked their socks off.

Also, can AEW stop handing out title shots willy nilly without wrestlers earning them? Page and Zay aren't even a proper duo - they just hang out together alongside The Hardys. It's not like they won a series of bouts leading up to Friday. This was another filler title showdown just because.

As the sub-heading says, yours truly still ain't sold on AO at All In.
