3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage: Fight For The Fallen (Aug 18)

Ups...

3. The Main Event Tag

Ruby Soho Skye Blue
AEW

There were a few minor hiccups here or there, and AEW refs are both inconsistent and annoying to watch, but the headline tag on Rampage was an easy watch for the most part. Toni Storm and Ruby Soho showed off good aggression, and Skye Blue played babyface in peril for a fired up Hikaru Shida.

It wasn't match of the night (this one had no chance there; more on that later), but the whole thing flowed well. Most are probs over The Outcasts' using that spray paint for finishes though, and Blue could've done a better job selling. She didn't even wipe her eyes. That's nitpicking, to be fair.

This was a fun scrap despite the small gripes. Storm and Soho went heel 101, which worked well, and the live crowd were into Skye and Hikaru as the kind of unit who could take them down a notch. Overall, it's hard to argue with this kind of work.

Good times.
