3. Wasn’t Feeling The Main Event

Here's that main event moan for good measure.

This writer is no fan of The Dark Order generally, but Alex Reynolds and John Silver can work some solid matches when they're in there with the right opponents. Sadly, the blend of those guys and Evil Uno with Jake Hager, Matt Menard and a cake-covered Angelo Parker didn't really cut it.

For reference, Parker was covered in birthday cake because Ruby Soho apparently saw him smooching Harley Cameron (against his will, as later footage revealed) and smashed the marzipan right in his chops. That didn't really play into this trios headliner though. Just as well, because this was not a celebration of everything right with AEW's six-man dynamic.

The match didn't add much to the episode, and could even be considered the wrong main event. Eddie Kingston vs. Wheeler Yuta was right there, Tony! Obviously, it was heartwarming to see -1 again, but AEW needs to get over The Order eventually. The group totally drags.
