3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Jan 12 - Results & Review)

1. Kinda Sick Of These One-Offs

Private Party Top Flight Action Andretti
AEW

Private Party interrupted Top Flight and Action Andretti backstage, and the segment was clearly booked to set up a match between both squads. OK then, but...for what? Yeah, AEW wants to find stuff for everyone on the roster to do, but there also needs to be more thought put into these run-it-back intrusions.

They happen far too often.

You know the deal: Wrestler A and Wrestler B walk in on Wrestler C's promo time > they tease a match > said match happens > AEW barely mentions it again. Then, it's onto the next rinse and repeat situation with other workers. That isn't storytelling - it's painfully dull.

Things might be different if these skits ever actually led to anything (like a sustained push), but that's becoming increasingly rare. Is the world crying out for a one off Private Party vs. Top Flight match, or something? These teams don't even have beef with each other.
