3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Mar 25)

3. Same With Nyla Rose?

Pushing Nyla Rose to the forefront as Thunder Rosa's first major hurdle post-Britt Baker also feels very tedious. Rose squashing one of Thunder's trainees/mates on this week's Rampage doesn't change that - the whole feud lacks pizzazz. It's a placeholder.

Sadly, that's all it's ever going to be.

Rose is the kind of worker AEW can heat up for one-off challenges here or there. That was fine for a while, but it's pretty f*cking boring now, and no amount of loudmouth promos or rapid-fire squashes will convince the world that Nyla is taking that Women's Title from Rosa.

Some will shout from the rooftops about those lengthy gaps between AEW pay-per-views. 'The company has to work secondary rivalries here or there'. That's a fair point, sure, but it doesn't stop Nyla from coming across as a lazy backup choice.
