3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 5)

2. Weird Follow-Up

Adam Cole John Silver
AEW

Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus and Christian Cage fired out a challenge to The Young Bucks and Adam Cole for a 'Falls Count Anywhere' six man at Full Gear. That, dear readers, could be a show stealer on the undercard. Excitement for it faded a tad when Cole went one-on-one with John Silver later.

It was hard to get invested or care about that.

Being honest, there was no way Silver was going over here anyway. That came across loud and clear; Cole did everything in his power to add a bit of doubt (more on that later), but it was a struggle because...well, The Dark Order sucks. They've outlived their usefulness really.

As much as Silver tried, he never felt like an ideal opponent for Cole after a major pay-per-view announcement like that one. There was also something totally weird that felt at odds with AEW's usual booking style. It was like Dynamite hadn't happened the way fans remembered...
