3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 5)

3. Questionable Pairing

The Bunny Red Velvet
AEW

Neither The Bunny nor Red Velvet are really capable of carrying the other to a worthwhile match, so it's puzzling that AEW thought it was the right call to stick them in there against one another in the TBS Title tourney. This was always going to be bang average.

Maybe that's too harsh, but this short bout never really got going before the finish.

Jade Cargill's involvement was the highlight of this segment, which perhaps says it all. She oozes star quality, and it was nice to see All Elite reference her past with Velvet. Even that couldn't save this one from total mediocrity though - it wasn't the best.

It might've been nice to see Bunny or Velvet in there with Serena Deeb, or somebody like that who could bring the best out in them. They're not horrible, obviously, but they're a little raw. This first round effort needed a bit more experience.
