3. Bryan Danielson: AEW’s Giving Wrestler

Once Max Caster had smart-arsed his way through the opening rap, Bryan Danielson dusted himself down and put on another clinic against Anthony Bowens. Perhaps the best thing about this match is that Danielson made Bowens look competitive without shedding his own star power.

That can't be easy to do.

The announcers did a good job of putting across that Bowens would need Caster's help if he had a hope in hell of beating someone the standard of Bryan. That's the way it should be. Ant is a tag-teamer, after all, and he was in there with one of the best pro wrestlers in the world.

As far as tune-up matches for pay-per-views go, this was a good 'un. Bowens, like Miro, also works a power-based style, so it made sense visually to see Danielson tearing a musclebound dude to pieces with his technical wizardry.
