3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Oct 27 - Results & Review)

3. Stop It!

The sheer state of that screenshot above.

Mike Santana and Ortiz were working an intense brawl (check the 'Ups' for more on how much effort those lads put in) when AEW had the bright idea to hit pause and go to a pesky pic-in-pic ad break. The problem? Well, this was a f*cking grudge match that's been built for weeks. It deserved better.

Going picture-in-picture instantly breaks viewer attention and takes them out of the moment. It's a recurring issue on AEW TV. Yes, ad money is important, but pick your moments! Thankfully, Santana and Ortiz were smart enough to stall for time and make sure they didn't do anything major following a suplex spot.

Some may argue that there's no problem then, but no...there is. This keeps happening during almost every All Elite show, and it's grating. What's the point in hyping up matches as must-see at all if you're going to interrupt them to shout about others?!
