3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Oct 27 - Results & Review)
Ups...
3. Tough Spot, But Promising!
This writer thought AEW put Kip Sabian in a really rough spot with his anti-Philly sports team promo, but the handsome rogue made the best of things. He'd have been able to do even better had there been any sort of build up or character development elsewhere on TV, but perhaps that's coming for Kip soon.
He's far too talented to be sitting around twiddling his thumbs.
Fans were pleased to see Mark Briscoe come out to run Sabian off. That, whilst fairly random, should lead to something tangible between the pair. At least they've got something to sink their teeth into now, eh? No, no that wasn't one of Kip's jokes at Briscoe's expense (even if it sounded similar).
There are certainly worse ideas on the table than using Mark to give Sabian a leg up on the roster. The Englishman richly deserves that, and his reactions will only grow and grow if he's on telly more often cutting promos. The charisma and skill is there even when the material isn't.
