3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Oct 27 - Results & Review)

1. Suitably Intense

Mike Santana Ortiz
AEW

If you only watch one match from Rampage, make it this one.

Mike Santana vs. Ortiz was intense and violent enough to follow up on the tasty build both worked. It was just really good stuff, and hopefully leads to something more on programming for both. Sonjay Dutt coming out to console Ortiz after his loss to an old friend sure suggests it will.

Actually, Tony Khan should stick these guys on the undercard at Full Gear in some sort of gimmicked rematch. They've earned that kind of reward, and could've easily headlined Rampage without any complaints. Again, this is worth saying, go out of your way to see their brawl.

Santana offering a fist bump and Ortiz refusing doesn't add up for now, but all will be forgiven if it leads to a second slice down the road. In short, any kind of rematch is essential, 'cause these boys worked so, so well together. No surprises there.
