1. We Need To Talk About AEW Refs

Sort this out once and for all, Tony Khan.

The standard of refereeing in AEW, being brutally honest, is f*cking dreadful. This isn't some whinge about Aubrey Edwards OTT behaviour during matches, but more the complete and utter lack of authority officials have out there. It's like they've looked at the silliness of refs throughout wrestling history and said, 'Hold this beer'.

Sometimes, the officials count illegal actions. Sometimes. Other times? Nah, everything's cool. It makes one wonder why they even bother to have rules at all if they don't even matter. That Young Bucks vs. Matt Menard and Angelo Parker bout turned into a farce 'cause everybody could just do whatever they pleased without consequences.

If you have no consequences for illegal actions, then you don't need referees. Christ, maybe they should just pump near fall and three counts over the PA and save the money on airfare. Or, y'know, sit everyone down and standardise the rule sheet so it doesn't make refs look crap.
