3 Ups & 4 Downs From Last Night's Impact Wrestling (May 3)

2. You're No Hero

Prior to the main event, Rob Van Dam strode down to ringside for his first official night in the company since signing a new contract with the company. He had his old theme and the fans were giving him a decent enough reaction - it was like 2010 all over again.

Someone who wasn't overly happy to see Mr Friday Night though was Ethan Page of The North. All Ego boldly stated that unlike all the others in the backstage area, he had never idolised RVD and was able to come up with his own moveset as opposed to stealing every move he ever saw the ECW legend use. Van Dam had eventually had enough and kicked a chair into Page's face, making it clear that the Canadian grappler had gotten under his skin.

By the looks of things, we're getting a singles match between these two. No complaints whatsoever. While he and Josh Alexander make for a terrific tag team, there's no saying Page isn't a phenomenal singles performer. He just needs the opportunity to showcase that fact and frankly, there hasn't been a better chance than now.
