3 Ups & 4 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Nov 1)
Ups...
3. Classic X Division Style
The opener to this week's Impact was a showstealer, as Rich Swann and Willie Mack went toe to toe. This was one of those old school X Division bouts (there's been many of those recently), where a bigger guy proved that his size doesn't matter. In this case, it was Mack who further established this, as he flew across the ring from all angles.
It's a fantastic sight to see Impact allowing some of the world's greatest independent names to come along and put on incredible performances. Their answer to the cruiserweights has always been the greatest feature for the promotion, and it doesn't look like this will be coming to an end anytime soon.
Either of these two could easily be a future X Division Champion. Seeing as Rich Swann failed to dethrone current champ Brian Cage in the main event two weeks ago, it's possibly Willie Mack who will be the one to do so. That is, if 'The Machine' can first get past Sami Callihan next week.
Willie is someone deserving of the spot, so it'd be a disaster if Impact just don't do anything with him.
