3 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sept 15)

3. We Need To Talk About Refs…Again!

The Kingdom Christopher Daniels AEW Refs

Sorry for the repeat whinges, but this does need to be called out again.

Look at the screenshot above. That was snapped literally seconds before Matt Taven and Mike Bennett hit a double team move on Christopher Daniels for the finish. Now, check out the ref - he was as passive as that for a while before the ending came. Basically, he wasn't doing his bloody job.

Time for some brutal honesty: AEW refs come out looking like absolute tools with zero authority during situations like this. This official let Bennett illegally interfere, beat up Daniels and then hit a double team finisher without even counting him or telling the illegal wrestler to get out of the ring.

Dude was legit in there for a solid minute or so without even one warning, and this isn't an isolated incident specific to Friday's match. Sort this out immediately, All Elite power players. It's hurting your product and making it difficult for fans to give a rat's arse about the rules.
