3 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Saturday Night's Main Event (Results & Review - 23 May)

2. What The Hell Was That?

Sol Ruca’s main roster run thus far has been a mixed bag.

Ruca losing her first two matches to Liv Morgan and Iyo Sky were not on their own negatives, but her inability to hit her signature finish cleanly has been a problem throughout her time on Raw. A feud with Becky Lynch, while coming awfully soon, could be a big turning point for her, both in storyline and in reality.

Then came Saturday’s match.

The contest consisted of Sol getting off to a fast start, keeping Lynch off-balance with a flurry of springboard moves and athleticism.

Then Ruca went for a Sol Snatcher… allegedly.

Ruca sprung off the turnbuckle just as Becky pulled referee Jessika Carr into the way, and Sol collided with her awkwardly, with Ruca looking like she was going for her finisher but never rotated, instead just pushing off and banging into the ref. Becky was disqualified, but she managed to return to the ring and lay Sol out with three Manhandle Slams.

Ugly, ugly finish that makes you wonder if Ruca needs to contemplate a second finisher that she can use more regularly, because so far, she’s whiffed with the Sol Snatcher more than she’s landed it.
