3 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 14)

2. The Sheer State Of The Tag Division

The Usos are fine SmackDown Tag-Team Champions, but every other duo on the brand sucks or has been booked into oblivion. Worse, WWE continued to tell fibs about most of them. Los Lotharios are "off to a strong start" on the brand? B*llocks, Michael Cole.

Humberto and Angel jobbed in 80 seconds to Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs recently.

Also, Cesaro and Mansoor aren't even a real team, so God knows why they were involved in this number one contender's Fatal-4-Way. Jinder Mahal and Shanky barely qualify as a full-time duo themselves too, and The Viking Raiders have become a creative afterthought far too often for their win to mean much.

The division is grim, and it's exactly why WWE went back to Usos vs. New Day so many times. It's hard to take any of the chasing pack seriously after the way they've been presented on TV over the past few months. Usos vs. Raiders has Rumble Kickoff show written all over it.
