3 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (July 10)

1. A Solid Tag-Team Main Event

Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro vs. New Day showed enough to warrant the main event slot on SmackDown and hint at things to come when Extreme Rules rolls around. Nobody should take issue with the disqualification finish either.

This was always going to be routine set-up for a pay-per-view rematch.

Your writer will argue until he's blue in the face about why they shouldn't have given away the table bump when a Tables Match is blatantly coming at Extreme Rules, but the repeat will still be fun regardless. Being honest, this foursome are too talented not to deliver the goods.

Hopefully, this isn't a one-off challenge for Naka and Cesaro either. They've shown enough chemistry together to suggest they deserve a SmackDown Tag Title run, and it's not like Kofi Kingston or Big E would lose any street cred by doing the job.

It is weird to think the heels wouldn't be where they are if the Forgotten Sons were still around though.
