3 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Dark (Dec 10)

2. Sky Shines In Showcase

Scorpio Sky Peter Avalon
AEW

Scorpio Sky was very, very over as he faced off with Jimmy Havoc and Peter Avalon in the night's opener, which turned out to be the night's most effective match by getting everything it needed to over.

The SoCal Uncensored Man was looking for a rebound after losing to AEW World Champion Chris Jericho. Havoc and Avalon approached this the right way, teaming up to take Sky down early on, before 'The Librarian' double-crossed the Brit in an attempt at taking control. This ultimately backfired, because it's Peter Avalon, but while he brought a book into play and Havoc tried to introduce his signature staplegun, Sky ended up taking the victory after a TKO on 'Pretty Peter.'

Fun stuff all-round, with Sky showcasing plenty of personality and athleticism throughout. AEW still have something in him, even if his World Title-chasing days are over, and while this match would've looked well out of place on Dynamite, it was perfect for Dark.
