3 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Rampage (Dec 2)

Downs...

6. Erm…OK Then?

Keith Lee Shane Taylor
AEW

Hey look, it's ROH's Shane Taylor!

He's the latest Honor roster member to show up on AEW TV, but he might take the prize home for 'Most Sudden'. Taylor interrupted Keith Lee's backstage promo time to reminisce about the old days, then set up a tag bout for Final Battle: Shane and JD Griffey vs. Keith and a partner of his choosing.

That's when Swerve Strickland waltzed into frame with a goofy grin on his chops and teased that he'll join Lee on the ROH pay-per-view. Aye, great - it's not like that particular story was overstaying its welcome or anything, eh? Mixing it in with a random-assed tag just because ROH happens to have a PPV is really lazy.

AEW could also do with a helping hand when it comes to producing this kind of segment too. They're often painful to watch, and the director lingers on reactions just a little too long. You can almost see the workers wondering if they've cut to the next shot.
