3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Nov 2)
3. Lashing Out
Speaking of things WWE television didn't need - it's another talk show segment!
Lash Legend's 'Lashing Out' is useless. Sorry, but it is. It's far too peripheral to mean a damn thing, and NXT's creative team have already painted the talking head bit as something fans can skip without missing anything that develops characters or stories. So, in other words, what's the goal?
Who knows, man. All this fan can tell you is that Tony D'Angelo should've just cut a 30-second promo saying he wanted to go through everybody on his way to the top instead. After all, he said something to that effect here. WWE just tacked on some nonsense about attacking Legend's producers and had her interact with a pre-taped audience.
It was bad. The best talk show skits (Piper's Pit, The Snake Pit, The Highlight Reel etc) played host to memorable moments and major rivalries. Will D'Angelo wrestle that banged-up producer someday (or even work Lash)? Nah, so who actually cares?
