3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Nov 2)

2. Creative Has Nothing For You

Neither LA Knight nor Grayson Waller are particularly likeable. In fact, going one step further, they're both obnoxiously overbearing heel characters who smart-ass their way through dialogue before eventually getting egg on their face. That's a tried-and-tested pro wrestling character trope, which is fine.

The fact they're feuding right now isn't.

If this ends in another "odd couple" pairing, then yours truly might scream. Knight excels in the antagonistic jock jerk-off role, but he doesn't need a lil' buddy to pal around with. Hell, the guy should be rocketing up the card towards bigger things. His NXT run has stalled big time, and this Waller crap illustrates that.

Fans in the CWC don't know who to root for in this story. So, everyone just sorta sits there quietly waiting on the next segment. That's not good TV, and it's worrying that LA and Grayson are starting to suck energy out of the room whenever they're on screen.
