3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE NXT UK (6 May)
2. You're Outta Here
Poor presentation aside, Kenny Williams and Amir Jordan’s main event was effective. It told the story required of it, while also cementing Kenny as a bonafide b*stard moving forward.
The former tag partners had a lovely ol’ brawl around BT Sports Studios. Ripping up the ringside mats, fighting behind the crowd barrier, and threatening opponents with a wrench all made their way into the bout, making Williams look like he legitimately wanted to cause pain to Amir. His release back suplex through a table looked especially gnarly, as did Jordan’s snap suplex on the exposed concrete floor.
Jordan’s previously injured shoulder was the talk of the match, with Kenny spending portions of the bout hammering away on it. After sending Amir into an exposed turnbuckle, Kenny followed it up by dropping his former pal head-first into a chair with a decent headlock driver.
While not nearly as good as it could have been, Kenny and Amir still delivered a solid no disqualifications bout. Whether Amir is actually departing WWE remains to be seen, but until then, he’s got a decent match to look back on.
