3. A Better Showing For Evans

That was more like it for Raw’s newest signee.

Last week, WWE inexplicably decided to announce that Je’Von Evans had signed with Raw... during a commercial break. They somewhat rectified that head-scratching decision on Monday by giving him a bit of a standout night.

First, Evans battled Bravo Americano in a more uptempo match than the Young OG's last foray on the red brand against Rayo Americano. The match had a quicker pace, with Evans not selling or in peril as much as he was against Rayo. Je’Von hit most of his signature offense – all to a great reaction – capping it off with a Spanish Fly and a sky-high OG Cutter for the win. Afterward, he avoided Los Americanos and escaped a potential three-on-one beatdown.

Later on the show, Evans showed up in the trainers' room to check in on Penta and Dragon Lee after they had been battered by The Vision. It might not amount to this, but the implication here was that Je’Von could be an ally to the luchadores in their battles against the top heel stable on Raw.

If that comes to pass, that would be a pretty good jumpstart for the rookie. Regardless, he had a better showing Monday night, and that alone merits positive marks.
