3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (12 Oct - Results & Review)

5. Dude’s A Modern-Day Zack Ryder

WWE Raw Je'Von Evans
WWE

In WWE’s mind, Je’Von Evans being launched off a ladder (that was miles away from the Money in the Bank briefcase) and through an ambulance roof is a way of pushing him.

To the rest of us with eyes and common sense, the ridiculous nature of that spot was nothing more than a spectacular stunt, and Evans looked like a bigger fool for climbing a ladder that was in a different ZIP code than the briefcase in the first place.

Fast-forward to Monday night, and Evans limped out to the ring to congratulate Penta on his MITB victory, complete with a sling, Kinesio tape, and bandages on his ribs. He got through his kudos just in time to shove Penta out of the way of a charging Bron Breakker, eating a spear.

This pathetic-looking loser has eaten a sh**-ton of abuse, and then he gets speared so the rising babyface doesn’t take the attack. What’s next? Je’Von rolls out in a wheelchair next week and Big Cass shoves him off a ramp to the floor?

People want to cheer winners – or at least people who can take a beating and keep coming back for more. Turning Evans into a mummy isn’t going to work. It’s just giving 2012 Zack Ryder vibes.
