DOWNS…

6. A Rocky Start To Something Good

WWE Raw Chelsea Green Liv Morgan The Judgment Day

Chelsea Green versus Liv Morgan could be a good, fun diversion feud for the next few weeks, a palate cleanser after a disappointing three-way rivalry for Liv with Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer.

However, their little feud got off to a less-than-ideal start Monday night.

Green interrupted Morgan and attempted to employ good sportsmanship ahead of Crown Jewel, only to be rebuffed and challenged by Roxanne Perez, which led to an impromptu match between the two.

One might logically assume this would be a pretty decent little match given the participants, but it fell well short of that expectation. The two women did not look comfortable in there for large swaths of the match. Their exchanges looked awkward, with very little coming across as smooth.

Perez managed to capitalize on interference and distractions from the Judgment Day and hit Chelsea with Pop Rox for the win, which gave Roxanne ammunition to demand a title match after pinning the WWE Women’s Champion.

There’s some potential here, with Perez notching a win and the possibility that Liv could lose at Crown Jewel, fueling dissension in the group. Still, the easiest way to generate that friction would have been for Roxanne to win Money in the Bank rather than pinning a world champion.

Given the talent involved, this is going to get a mild down, but it was not the greatest start to this program.
