3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (April 29)

Downs...

6. Piped-In Excitement

Happy Corbin Madcap Moss

Wow, what a disconnect between sight and sound this was.

Fans in Albany were visibly uninterested in the segment between Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss, but that didn't stop WWE from piping in heat for Corbs and phoney cheers for Moss. This wouldn't have been such a glaring issue had folks in New York been stirring a little. They weren't.

Personally, this fan wasn't a fan of the whole, "I'm gonna destroy your Andre trophy" thing either. Sure, WWE has to give them some reason to fight, but it's not really clicking. People just don't give a damn about that thing, and it'll be forgotten about soon enough anyway.

There are worrying signs that creative won't have a clue what to do with Madcap after WrestleMania Backlash too. He needs to shed Corbin and move onto something new if he has a chance of becoming something serious on the SmackDown roster.
