3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (April 29)

1. Beat The Clock = Poor Main Event(s)

Well, they got there in the end with Ronda Rousey besting Charlotte Flair's time in that 'Beat The Clock' scenario, but this was a miss from beginning to end. This genuinely had no business closing out this week's SmackDown. That was an awful, awful decision.

Sacrificing Shotzi and Aliyah, two fresh stars, was another baffling decision considering the SmackDown women's division isn't exactly deep. Further, Flair destroying Drew Gulak wasn't as effective this time around either. That post-match angle played before diminishing returns, which was always going to happen.

They're having a tough time with this feud, eh?

Promo banter between Ronda and Charlotte falls flat, and WWE are running low on ways to sell Rousey's physicality without having her and Flair tear lumps off each other. WrestleMania Backlash, and the "I Quit" conclusion, can't come soon enough.
