3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Feb 24)

4. 50/50 With No Clear Direction

Karrion Kross Rey Mysterio

Karrion Kross got his win back on Rey Mysterio. That's it - that's all there is to really say about this match, which is a pity considering Kross' has been vocal about craving the rivalry during media appearances. If he's being honest, he'd surely be disappointed with how things have panned out.

There were a few problems with this match/segment.

Firstly, it's 50/50 booking. Second, they stuck a killer move (that Razor's Edge into the ring post) during an ad break. Did WWE forget what was happening and think they were producing AEW Rampage, or something? Third, Karrion has no clear path towards involvement at WrestleMania, and no reason for being involved in Rey vs. Dominik.

WWE could've got to Rey and Dom squaring off with the 'Mania sign in the background without this rematch. They needed to cut losses after 'Daddy Mysterio' bizarrely beat Kross the first time, because that was a huge clanger that can't be rectified.

Just move on, please. Karrion doesn't need to dilute a father vs. son feud.
