3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Mar 11)

2. Big E’s Big Injury

This sucks.

It also isn't a typical 'Down'. WWE didn't book something crap here, or anything like that. No, poor Big E took a nasty-looking belly-to-belly suplex from Ridge Holland outside the ring, landed directly on top of his head and broke his neck. This scary moment wrecked the tag match that was going on between New Day and Sheamus/Holland.

Screw that - E's health is way more important. There's obviously no good time to get injured, but E going down right before WrestleMania when it once looked like he'd be WWE Champ heading into it is seriously hard to take. Everyone's thoughts should be with the man as he recuperates from this serious injury.

He'll come back better and stronger, surely. Big E is a robust character, but this was a reminder of what can go badly wrong during any pro wrestling match. Ridge has taken a pounding on social media for his part in things, which is unfortunate but was always going to happen.
